The National Heat Pump Rebate pays $2,000 — or up to $10,000 if your household's net (after-tax) income is at or below the official limit for your province and household size. Complete the form below to check your eligibility.

Installations completed on or after November 1, 2026 qualify retroactively, so there is no reason to wait.
Section 1 — Your household
Net income, as defined by the program: line 23600 minus line 43500 on your 2025 tax return, combined for you and your spouse/partner.

Key program facts
- Up to $10,000 for households at or below the official net-income limit for their province and household size; $2,000 for all other eligible homeowners.
- No home energy audit is required.
- The heat pump must be an AHRI-listed cold-climate model, installed by a licensed contractor, and sized for the whole home.
- Keep your receipts: claims are filed within 6 months of installation and must show the equipment’s AHRI number.
